Roles & Responsibilities
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will:
- Collaborate within a team to provide care to local patients and families.
- Monitor the quality of care provided.
- Offer feedback to managers on care quality.
Eligibility Requirements
Essential: Relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent, or working towards it.
Functional Skills at Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy, or equivalent in English and Maths.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Healthcare Assistant/Worker in health or social care settings.
Experience working in a team and using Microsoft Office and various IT packages.
Desirable: Experience in a community nursing environment.
Knowledge: Awareness of NHS services and function.
Knowledge of up-to-date clinical practice.
Understanding the role and remit of unregistered HCAs.
Skills and Abilities:
Essential: Ability to organize own work and cope with change.
Initiative, sound communication, and interpersonal skills.
Personal Attributes: Ability to work under pressure, flexibility, empathy, and supportiveness.
Valid driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
Ability to Manage: Prioritize care delivery professionally, considering Trust policies and procedures.
Effectively manage own time.
